Bought ourselves some smart new Phillips Onis 200 VOX phones last night. It is a twin pack with one base station and two handsets.
Wired them up last night, but for some reason they aren't working too well.
They are wired into an ADSL filter, and the line seems to have a fair bit of noise/crackle on it.
Also tried ringing my mobile with the new phone - it rings in the new phone, but the mobile doesnt ring, only lists1 missed call when I have hung up.![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Any ideas?

Are you running an 11b or 11g wireless connection?
I also assume regular phone works fine through filter etc?
Have you a second filter to try in case its faulty?

Just to elaborate on Jrrs1's first point, if you are using a wireless router to access you internet, you should be aware that these operate on the same frequency as DECT phones and so can potentially interfere with the operation. This also goes for wireless DigiSenders, all of which operate on the same 2.4ghz frequency band.
You can change the channel that they operate on to stop this, either of the device that is interfereing or of the phone itself.

I've got a Philips DECT (damned if I can remember the model) at home with ADSL and all is fine mate.
I'd suspect a crappy micro filter. I used to lose CLI through my phone with the microfilters than came with my SpeedTouch router. Splashed out on anADSLNation one for £8.99 and that's much better.

Cheers All
Setup is standard, not wireless. 1 filter on each socket. May just go for the new filters.
Reverted back to the old phone setup and I still cant ring my mobile. However, this has all been done with ADSL connected, so will try the new phones later without ADSL connected. Should sort the problem.
Will also try the new filters you mention Chris.

Chris, which filters are best from there?
I have a Fujitsu FDX310 modem, so you would think these would be the best option - http://www.ftel.co.uk/uk/products/co.../fdx100uk.html

Dreamweaver - we've got through 7 DECT phones over the past 2 years, (inc Philips & BT).
The only one we have found to be excellent (now had it for 6 months without problems) is the Panasonic (its not got the model number printed on the phone I'm afraid). All the others suffered either crackling, poor battery life or just generally being rubbish and difficult to use.
The Panasonic was around £170 I think - but worth every penny, would strongley recommend it.

Neil, we looked at those, but only wanted to spend £120 really. Even that was a bit much for me just for home phones, but hey ho ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Hopefully the new filters will sort it out.
