I have just been given the nice task of updating my motorclubs website and its currently hosted on freeserve Is it not possible to FTP when not dialling up to them?

I have tried "uploads.webspace.freeserve.net" and loads of other combinations but nothing seems to work. Went on the freeserve website and when i try and find out about FTPing it says i need to register

Just got my computer history book out to find out what a modem is, might have to go and buy one sounds like it might be the easy option. Then host the website elsewhere!

You will need the user name and password of whoever first hosted it, surely.

I have the user name and password, its very weird!

You can only update freeserve web pages when dialled up through them. And yes its a right pain.

Can be done via ISDN aswell (if thats an option!)
