dba - why do you think there is more than normal (I see them all the time). Is there a specific attack you are getting?

I used to get quite a few until I permanently banned alot of US based ISP IP address ranges. I get about 1 every 2 weeks now, although I've had 3 this week, but I put that down to alot of people being online over the holidays etc.
The worst offender in recent months has been comcast based IP addresses. Coincindentally I've been getting spam from thier domains too, so that's blocked in my e-mail too
