Question
Do you need the Xbox DVD Movie Playback Kit to play DVD's?
I am thinking of modding the xbox with an Xecuter 2.3b Lite Plus which makes it region free. Do I still need the Playback kit if I get this mod done?

Hello

If it's modded then you don't need to invest in anything extra, just download a DVD player.

Nope - if you're happy using the game controller.

I have an xecuter 2.3 and no Remote, and was happily testing DVD playback using DVDX 2.0 today.

I was also playing Iron Man Stewart's Off-Road (via Mame) which is a game I wasted many hours on as it was in the Bar at Uni
