I don't even think they play mpeg format either - normally there would be a badge on the front saying so...

OK - I have now downloaded a 'file' and am now trying to play it but I keep getting the following message after it tries to locate the necessary codec:



This message appears even after I've lowered my security settings!

What am I doing wrong?

And no its not ****!!

You need to update your video codec to enable windows media player to play the file. Use the link Cookie supplied.

Some dvd players can play mpegs, but not avi. Well, i think there is a dvd player that can, but its not yours.

I just bought a Sharp dvd player that'll play mpegs and jpegs!
