Internet Access Problems
My friend has been having problems accessing the internet since Friday. The initial error which Internet Explorer came out with was -
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
When they clicked on the "details" button it came up with -
Error Signature
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: syskt.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000143ce
Since they couldn't do anything other than use MSN Messenger & ICQ, they phoned NTL's technical support line and were told to reboot both the modem and pc. After doing so, they haven't been able to connect to the internet.
I'm not sure what is wrong, I adivsed them to find the syskt.dll file but to no avail, as even with hidden files showing it is not on the pc. Any help would be appreciated

I get that messge aswell!
It only ever does it with mine the first time I open up internet explorer and then when I open it up again it is fine.
Sounds like one of the files isn't right, but then I am no computer expert.
When things go wrong I complete a system restore and then it goes back to normal!!!!
