iPOD question

I have just received a new iPOD as a gift, problem is the plug that comes with it is American as that's where it's come from (funnily enough). I know it can charge on a MAC (firewire), but I only have USB2.0, what's the best way of charging it?
My options:
1) Buy an apple charger travel pack
2) Buy a firewire card for my PC - does the iPOD charge from PC firewire cards?
3) Buy a car charger, but I don't think I can be bothered charging it in the car![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Are there any other ways?

In releation to nymber 2), yes I beleive it does....I think anyway ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
My gf got one of these for christmas from here mum, she doesnt have a Pc or Mac so has been using mine (PC). But like you, I only had USB, so we popped down the road and picked up a firewire card (<£30 IIRC) for it.
Its good and quick and, like I said, I beleive it charges it too.

As far as i know 90% of all Apple products are dual voltage. (it should tell you if it is on the plug) If it is you can go to any shops that sell iPods and buy a new power cable, it will then be as british as the british ones

Yeah, just buy a new figure-of-eight power lead. Cost about £3 ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
All Apple PSU's are 100-240V, 50/60Hz (ie. you can use 'em anywhere by just changing the plug)
Cheers!
Alex
P.S. A USB2 lead is about £19.99 I think.

It doesn't fit the iPod directly, it fits in the charger. You remove the slot in plug from the charger and can then plug in the fig-8 lead. You know the plug physically seperates from the corner of the charger don't you??
Remove plug (shown on top left here)

Replace with another plug

Or figure-of-8 lead.
