Default Ipaq troubles

Got an IPAQ 5450 which I mainly use for in car gps. Haven't used it for a while and the battery went flat again. However, I charged it up in the car whilst at work.
Checked it at lunchtime and it was charging nicely (was displaying the "setup user" screen) but I didn't have time to do it then so I turned it off. When I got home, switched the bugger on and the password screen came up but the screen has lost all sense of recognising where the pointer is so I can't put the passcode in.
Popped it into it's cradle and thought I could access it via the PC but it won't accept the passcode I put in?

me is stuck!
should I just let the battery go flat again and hope?

....and if that doesn't work, take the battery out for 10 seconds, put it back in and see if that does the trick. Please bear in mind though that this MAY clear all your data, requiring a restore from backup, although hopefully the backup battery will tide you over.

If that doesn't work, try http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/f...categoryId=273, you might find a solution here.

Hope this helps,

T

Cheers, in the end only a full blown full reset would give me back control. This did wipe all the user data off but luckily I had just started using the Ipaq backup software so it was easily restored!
