FDISK/Format in windows?

FDISK/Format in windows?
Ive got a buggered up windows ME machine and want to remove the two partitions and have just one. I'm not having much luck in dos and dunno how you can do it in windows?
I have a restore CD which im going to use to put ME back on
Its not my machine, its some womans from work which had 22 trojens and virus lol
At the moment i have the HD in as slave on my XP machine.

I dont think you can do this if windows is running. Does the me install disk not give you the option to delete/format?
You need to boot from CD, go into bios and set CD as first boot device.
I haver never actually had to reinstall Me - I always bin it in favour of 2K or XP
