What Wireless Router
Friends ... I'm in the market for a new broadband modem/wireless router. I don't need 802.11g (but wouldn't say no) but I do need at least 4 10/100 ethernet ports as well as the wi-fi.
What's a good one? Will pay up to around £100.
Many thanks,
Father Jack Hackett

Linksys WAG54G here (Wireless 54g with 4 port 10/100 switch and built in modem)
Very good and very impressed with it...
I bought mine from www.nascenttech.com and found they were quite a bit cheaper than the usual outlets. (I didn't pay the price on their website mind)
May be worthwhile givin em a call and speak to a guy called Stuart.Mention my name and Scoobynet and he may well do you a bit of a deal.
Good luck
Nick

The Netgear DG834G is a very good unit, I installed one of these in a local company and they are thrilled with it.
As long as it's realiable I don't think one make is any better.

Most of the routers on the market are based around the same chipset's, AKA the Realtek ones. Mainly the user interface is the only thing that differs!
I only run an Orgigo Plus 4 (all £20 worth!) at home and its superb, but if you have the money I'd spunk it on a Cisco daddy at 1.5k
