Bored of PGR2 yet?
Didn't think so
but anyone fancying a change get TOCA race driver 2.
Absolutely superb, graphics, sound, handling and playability is top notch.
I much prefer racing on circuits than streets so prefer TOCA. The variety of vehicles is excellent (including racing lorries).
If your still not convinced get this months official mag and theres an online demo to try.

I got it yesterday, and echo everything Richard says. I suspect it's not as big a game as PGR2, but it's a lot of fun, (I'm about 50% through the career mode at the moment). Gonna try it on live soon....
(Oh, and yes I was getting bored with PGR2)

I'm thoroughly enjoying Bathurst in the V8's, truly awesome!!!
Did a 50-lap last night and it was brilliant fun, with pitstops and everything!!
I think PGR2 is dead, or at least on hold for a while!!!
Rich, mine is Twigster 54 mate, so I will see you there!!

Been playing this solidly since the middle of last week (I got an early copy cos I'm special )
It's definitely brilliant, DTM's are awesome but most of the modes are fun in their own ways.
Twigster I see you added me this weekend, hopefully see you online soon

As expected Codemasters have cocked up their controller code. There is no way I'll buy this as neither demo worked with my Wheel and Pedel setup on my PC. I'm fed up of sending them emails about this.

Agreed. Although it needs to be on full sim mode before it really shines.
Ed, wasn't sure if it was you but I added it just in case! Glad to see I made the right choice!
It's also better for long races etc, that deters the banzai moves at the first few corners which usually take you out of the race completely.

Not liking Toca at all! Currently driving the Mitsi and hating it. Whole game has been a case of first corner bad - restart race, hoping it gets better.

Toca RD2 is a real drivers game, sooo much better than PGR2 as the circuits make for real racing not bumper cars ala PGR2.
Anyone else agree?

I like the chuckable mentality of PGR2, similar feeling to when i'm driving the Pug about.
Re the PC Demo, it is totally unrealistic. As in race driver 1 you can just brake late and throw it round - the competitors brake too early.

I'm undecided about this one - got it the other day and have done about 70% of the career mode.
It certainly gets tougher and the 'racing' is much better than other games.
TBH, I havent been on L!ve yet but still.....
Also, I may be wrong, but TOCA RD 2 but there is no TOCA/BTTC....? (Unless of course it is an Unlockable or something.....)

That sucks.
As I see it, TOCA is the BTCC. To market the game under the TOCA brand is odd if they don't have the BTCC in there.
IMO it's like an FA Premier League branded game with only the Nationwide divisions in it; or Subaru branded game with no Scoobies in it.
