Urgent problem with FTP
Hi peeps,
Just wondering if someone can help me here. I have a problem with ftp. When I try and run an ftp session from DOS, it tells me that it has preformed an illegal operation and will shut down. This only happens after the user name has been put in. Now I have cleaned several viruses/trojans/backdoors off this system and replaced ftp.exe with a good version from another machine. The problem still occurs and the viruses re appear.
Has anyone seen anything similar before and if so how did you get rid of it.
The machine in question *was* working fine up until a couple of weeks ago. It is running Win2K sp4 with all hotfixes etc as well as Sophos AV.
