Mandrake 10
Dear Folks,
I have just downloaded myself a copy of Mandrake 10 and the installation went very sweetly.
However, I have been unable to get my e-mail working. I remember it was tricky with 9.1 but just came down to putting the right answers in the right boxes to set up the software. Unfortunately, this time I must be forgetting something so I am looking for a few tips....
I can receive e-mail but not send it!
I wrote down my outgoing and ingoing mail server names from my windows installation and these are entered correctly.
The system defaulted to use port 25 and this seems to match previous details.
My e-mail address is my user name and I have not forgotten my password.
Are there any other details essential to setting up the e-mail properly?
Freeserve itself is working fine and I can still send and receive e-mails in using windows.
Cheers!

I can receive e-mail but not send it! - what's the outgoing server? Normally it's an SMTP server and the port is almost always 25.
Usually you only need the username/password to download mail from the POP3 (port 110) mailbox. It shouldn't need any authentication when sending mail via SMTP.
