Question What's The Difference Between MS Works And MS Office?

Ummm...as above, really!

Are documents/spreadsheets created in one, compatible with the other?

MS Works is a very simple suite of applications & is aimed at home users. MS Office is a "professional" suite with a much higher level of functionality & much higher price. They are usually semi-compatible with each other, but Works may not load some advanced documents that were created in Works. Works is usually shipped with full MS Word out of the Office suite.

Cheers, Nick

I've just got a new puter and it has come with Works 7.0. Just wondering whether to use it or "find" a copy of Office? We don't do anything major at home, just the usual letters and simple spreadsheets, really.

Cool

If you've used Office and have to revert to works, you'll throw the pc out of the window.

Half the functions don't exist in works, and you will end up not completing too much work.

If you only use 'sum' (the sigma sign), you'll be ok with works !!!
