What is the common name for memory?

To me "memory" implies RAM. I've noticed that some people interpret it as being hard-drive space/capacity.

I'm talking about RAM but want to know what the best terminology to use when addressing anyone.

Talking about 'RAM' - I would say... 'RAM'
