FAO of Battlefield players - Joint Operations (Novalogic)
Have you tried this game?
It is without doubt the best game I have played on any format ever
It is truly amazing. Its a hugely improved Delta Force now with vehicles just like Battlefield but much much better

Screen shots look It loks very much like BF Vietnam and BF1942 which is a good thing
I'm dowloading the demo now I'll add this to my list of games I'm playing at the moment.

looks very good, but to be fair - personally i think the fps all became so popular because of counterstrike, for me when I play any online fps i compare them to cs. I always end up back on cs well after I have deleted the others.

I have played counterstrike, but only briefly as I couldn't stand it, sorry it is utter tripe compared to the delta force series, and this new one makes the previous delta force versions look prehistoic its that good.
I have never understood the addiction to counterstrike compared to delta force. The graphics on counterstrike are bitty and awful where as delta force is excellent. I know that doesn't make a game on its own and gameplay is the most important but delta force has both, counterstrike doesn't. I also preffered playing SWAT to counterstrike as I thought it was better.

very true b2z.
I was also addicted to red alert when multiplayer games first came out.
this was the version that ran in dos mode and all the vehicles were huge and pixelated, dont think that i have found a game that plays better to date

I guess the delta force series are for the addicts of the first one and the subsequent ones that followed, once hooked you always go back to it. The latest is highly addictive and far more difficult than any othe other versions. Enemy ai has improved massively. Was sniping from a rocky outcrop (well dug in and hidden) over a valley to a camp half way up the side of the hill on the other side of the valley and the gits sent over a unit to find me and take me out Also when storming buildings and going into built up areas the ai will circle round behind you and get you. The range of vehicles is excellent and have multiple positions on each vehicle for players to sit in. Great driving a jeep through the jungle when you have someone on the heavy machine gun mounted on the back taking people out while you cover ground quickly to get to cover
I think this is Novalogics first step to creating a multi game online battelfield. IIRC their aim is to incorporate all their titles to one game. So delta force players wil be playing the same online maps as f16 players and their tank game players etc. You will be able to interact with all the other game players no matter what it is they are playing and say call in air support from an f16 human player while you are trying to take some buildings and getting the tank players to bombard them This one has been developed with 49 vehicles to choose from so now the next test is to see how difficult it will be to get f16/mig29/comanche4 etc players to be able to play the same online maps That will be amazing if that happens.

Novalogic are getting even closer with the Escalation expansion pack which is superb. Are you still playing? Check out the A TIN OF maps which are excellent.

that game was very annoying during the beta testing when you get 4 or 5 snipers picking people off at the spawn points.
the gameplay became very repetitve very quickly and there was little or no teamplay.

Not been on for a while, in fact since the last update. But have owned every DF game except the very first, a truly class set of games 
Okay so I get shot a lot and haven't the time to commit to a clan, but it's still hugely enjoyable.
May just have to get the Escalation pack too

I'm a big Delta Force fan but wasn't blown over by the JO demo hence never bought it...
I still play BF1942: DC occassionaly(sp?) & CS:S & BFV regularly athough may have liked JO more if I'd given the full version a chance? One thing I did notice were the vehicles particularly choppers in JO weren't a patch on the Battlefield games but that might just be me
but still haven't gone back to the DF series in a long time.
