Best way to adjust monitor colour settings for photos?
As stated what is the best method to adjust a monitor for editing photos? I've tried Adobe Gamma but it seems a bit hit or miss. The main monitor I use is an LG Studioworks 900B (19" CRT) but I also have a 17" Samsung Syncmaster 172T TFT. Which should be best for photo work? The Studioworks is setup atm for 6500K but I'm not sure what to do with the temperature or individual RGB settings.

Jye,
Stick to CRTs for colour work. Most TFTs/LCDs do not come close (apart from some of the Apple ones).
Set the CRT to 6500K (that is the colour temperature) and then adjust brightness and contrast to suit.
If you are using Photoshop etc. then you are into the realms of setting up colour profiles which is a huge subject depending on your source imagery and its final destination. Plenty of tutorials on the net though.
Cheers
