Havn't noticed any appreciable drop in performance on the 100 odd pcs I have rolled it out to thus far.
The networks/firewalls thing is no excuse not to roll it out, the new windows firewall can be disabled or exceptions made for individual applications through group policy, your work IT must be lazy, useless or both!![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
The only good excuse for not using it as far as I can see is that some applications (or versions thereof) will not work with SP2 and these are "fairly" well documented.

It is most likely to be a conflict of securities, SP2 is mainly security upgrades and until you disable the main ones nothing else seems to work right, i.e. norton firewall, panda, mcafee all seem to cause some kind of processor time blockage.
After a couple of days setting up ports, disabling inbuilt firewall completely etc., it all seems to be playing ball.
So if you have a good firewall and anti-virus solution, don't bother with the upgrade unless you understand security.
Oh and the new firewall is ****e.

A guy at my work loaded sp2 onto his laptop a couple of days ago and it was really slow but today it was back to normal
he hadn't made any changes in that time.

Holding off at work at the moment until some of the issues are addressed.
