which is the best current , adfree and safe (as safe as fileshare can be) product.

Safest would be something like PTC - for downloading torrents form sites like www.suprnova.org

install ptc then go looking for torrents.

And get a copy of "Peerguardian" running too, it stops nasty people connecting to your PC - mostly.

Newsgroups are far better anyway

I use clara but usenetserver are very good and fast, unlimited and cheaper now too.

How do these news group things work then? Do you have to pay a fee to access the stuff?

Do you find them reliable, get good download speeds etc?

Any help appreciated

I use Usenet newsgroups through my ISP (NDO) so its free Flat out speeds & good retention. Now only use the other methods as a last resort !

I use Grabit and QuickPar to download, check and fix.

Signed up with astraweb ... cheaper to buy 25gb chunks

using newsleecher ... superb bit of software as a news reader

and quickpar to fix

Nice... a lot better then p2p.

NewsBin Pro is the best newsreader, by far IMO.
