Pc crashes BCP errors
Hi Guys
Well I am going out of my mind and the computer will shortly be going out of the window. I get the following error bcp when I play call of duty, or if I am doing something like video compression etc, intensive stuff.
BCCode : 9c BCP1 : 00000000 BCP2 : 8054DA70 BCP3 : C4084000
BCP4 : 00000136 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1
C:\DOCUME~1\MEC00E~1.ME-\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER83ee.dir00\Mini102504-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\MEC00E~1.ME-\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER83ee.dir00\sysdata.xml
I have a Amd 3000+ with Asrock motherboard, ATI 9600 XT and 512mb ram.
I did have 1gb of ram but after running mem test one of the memory modules kept on giving errors so i removed it. Its a new graphics card too cause I thought this may be whats giving me problems. I have today updated by bios and agp drivers and sound drivers all to the latest from ASrocks website.
Anyone have any idea please

Yes. I have installed all the latest drivers for everything i can think of.
Bios, AGP, sound, graphics,, forgot to add I am running XP Pro with SP2
Also installed an extra cooling fan, incase it was heat related

Just to confirm thou, u said u used drivers from the mobo site. Dont use their AGP/GFx driver set if u are. Get it directly from www.ati.com. Failing that test your RAM with memtest overnight.
Is that ASRock mobo using a VIA chipset? if so, also get the latest VIA 4in1s from VIA n dont use the mobo ones.

My motherboard is a K7S8X , it uses the Sis chipset.... The AGP download
is for the AGP slot.....
I have ran mem test overnight with no errors on the 512 module I still have in there.. Am thinking maybe its the motherboard or chip thats the problem

That patch is just for the AGP interface in XP. U still need the latest drivers from ATI for the graphics card itself. I suspect you are running the standard drivers u get with the gfx card, which are pants to say the least.

mmmmm *shrugs
You could try deinstallin your mobo chipset drivers just to test.
It could be your HDD controller drivers.
Do the usual defrag n scandisk checks.
Bar a XP and mobo driver set reinstall, get a better mobo Sis chipset = troubleshooting imo.
Look for a patch to the game from their website.
Do other games work ok?
