I did think Steve was joking about them when I watched the keynote, but he's not. Must say they are a very big gimmick, but I quite like them.

link has expired so for all those guys and girls who just cant wait for the real thing, here they are in glorious technocolour
Apparently these were a result of apple losing a licensing deal with a chinese manufacturer, so they decided to stick 2 fingers up at them (or 5 toes)
