Just slightly less powerful than my laptop and that cost 2600 12 months ago. 3.2 P4 with 128MB Mobile Radeon 9600 and 1Gig of 2700 ddr. Waiting to see if alienware are going to release the mobile radeon 9800. so I can upgrade to the last of the agp mobile graphics cards.

like i said nothing great everything onboard and i suspect a cheaper 3.4 ghz pentiun cpu since they have just moved on to another type of pentium cpu

I think the 550 is the newer P4, it's def a LGA 775 jobbie. Would be interesting to know exactly what the GFX adaptor is, it is a PCIx & would be good if an X800 or 6800GT.
Seems a reasonable spec to me, but does need more RAM.
I think the spec in the original post was the last one they did.

You forgot the software/3 yr on site warranty/DTV capture card/Memory Reader
However you have got a nice shiny AMD chip there
The Aldi deal is GVFM and is a good solution for many people, just not everybody.
Apparently the gfx adaptor is a 6610XL, whatever one of those is, either a 6600 or 6600GT.

Okay massive spec, well to me it is anyway !! comming from the owner off an old packard bell club66 that is !!!
was always under the impression that these deals from Aldi were outstanding ??!! problem is that Aldi always only has a few off these pc`s in each store, the last deal they done at my local Aldi store had folk queing from 07:30 for the shop to open and I hear that this is common with there pc deals.
see that a pc monitor is not included in with the MD8383 PC, but they are doing a lovely 17 inch medion md41077 lc colour flat screen for £199.99.

Tiny ARE rubbish! Always have been always will be!
I have a MEDION and their Customer Service is totally useless, no-one wants to help you - pass you from pillar to post, asking for passwords, serial numbers, etc. NOT GOOD!! I gave up - all I wanted was some help with one of their PC's (like a Motherboard Manual or something to help me!)
So BEWARE! They don't give a flying fukc

'Graphics card with new PCI-Express x16 bus architecture'
In other words sh*te. And where's the monitor?
Bought my PC from Mesh. 3.4 ghz P4 with 19 inch LCD Sony and all top quality components and a Geforce GT card for just £1200 quid!!! They are head over heels above the rest.

Don't want to get into silly arguments about which is best, but PCI-Express is the future whether you believe it to be sh*te or not. The Aldi card is the 6600XT which, if like their 9800XT was a 9800Pro, makes it a 6600GT. This is as quick as anything nVidea do as an AGP card other than 6800's.
All I was trying to point out to people is on-board graphics are useless for any reasonable modern day games, it's nice Mesh give you a monitor for the same price.
As I said "Still both are good in their own rights".
