iPod volume mod
Hello
I have come across a mod for the iPod last week that increases the volume.
Apparently, because of a French law, personal music devices in France sound pressure level cannot be over 100dB (i think thats right). So Apple have made all iPods in the EU conform to this. Thing is, an iPod from anywhere else, (like Singapore or the US) is set to a max level of 104-6dB.
Now this isnt too much of a problem, except if you use the iPod on a plane, or a train, or somewhere with alot of background noise.
There are 2 programs going around (iMod and goPod) that remove the 100 dB limit so that it is louder - especially useful if you use an iTrip.
Google for the programs and you will be able to do this mod.

I had go pod on my old 3G 20 Gig, worked a charm. I've not plucked up the courage to try it on the new iPod Photo yet though. I think I will let it wear in a bit first
