Question 9800Pro new driver problem

Got my 9800Pro about 3-4 months ago and HL2 asked for updated drivers so went to www.ati.com, downloaded updated driver (wxp-w2k-ccc-8-071-041026a-018719c-english), followed instructions: 'uninstall/remove current driver first then restart and install new driver' and everything was fine apart from 2 x this error msg upon startup everytime: '.NET Framework Initialization Error' 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\msco rwks.dll could not be loaded'

Now the games run fine but can't access ATI Catalyst Control Centre which is where I would normally access settings & change resolution etc (I get the same error msg when I try).

Anyone able to tell me what's gone wrong & how I put it right

TIA

Try installing/re-installing Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
