Half-Life 2 - got it for christmas - SUPERB!
Deliverately held-off buying it when it was released a month or so ago - so I could get it for Christmas.
Feckin' superb!
I'm flying through it though so I'm having to limit my sessions for an hour a night so I can enjoy the experience.
Just got my hands on the Grav-Gun - HOW COOL ?!?!

Good Game, very impressive at first but once fancy graphics and engine wear off it's just like any other FPS and very-hyped at that, no mistake though there are some very good parts but I lost interest bout half way through but back playing it again this week 
Even though the environments are varied I found it boring when back in the city and it's just as linear as Doom 3 albeit in more open less repetitive surroundings and that got slated. Don't know how far through I am yet either but guessing I'm not far from the end. Counter Strike: Source is excellent and can't believe I've never even played the original CS or Half-Life.

My son Sam just finished this yesterday.. Took him 4 days to complete... he says "don't go to Ravenholm" joke

good game, stopped playing Doom 3 to play it and doom 3 got left alone until I had finished HL2...
I'll second the comments about "not going to ravensholm" lol scariest part of the game.
Ended a bit quick though, was just getting interesting in the space station (or whatever it was....

P.s how far in doom3 left to go after getting out of Hell,??? Is it just a case of getting back to the surface, or is there more to it??
