flashing bios

Default flashing bios

after fitting a 250gb hd(it only sees 137gb)i need to update my bios
my motherboard is made by commate
i have checked their website but cant find anything that will update it
any1 know any good bios sites
yes i have windows xp sp1 installed

Do you know what you are doing though? It could get exciting if you don't.

You need to find out a bit more about the mobo 1st. Then you will need to get the latest revision for your specific mobo otherwise you are in trouble.

What makes you think its the bios though.

Mainboard
Manufacturer : Taiwan Commate
MP Support : No

what else can it be then?

What brand hard drive have u got?
There's a windows thing where it only sees 137GB of a larger hard drive, there's a registry fix, should find info on google.
Seagate disc tools or diskwizzard or something, for installing new drives can detect and correct this when installing hd, perhaps whoever made your hd also has program/info?

registry is ok as i had to put in a new D-Word value for the hd
have checked the manufacturers website but all info is going back to the bios
