The time has come to get some web space I think.

I need some space to host my vids and stuff. I reckon I need at least 1 gig probably more. Whats the best place to go to?

In theory that looks good. If you host some videos and link to them on a BBS, the host will soon see your bandwidth use going up, up, up. It's this point in time that you find out just how unlimited "unlimited bandwidth" is. Bandwidth costs money and offering it out free is a fast track to going bust IMO.

Actually, I've just noticed they put "un-restricted bandwidth" which makes me wonder if they'll throttle your account if you start to use lots. If they do, people downloading the vid's are going to enjoy watching paint dry.

 

I have gone for it now. Cost £44 so I hope its ok.

interested to see how it handles video downloads, as I'm looking for a good reliable cheap host for some high volume content for my website, don;t want to consume more bandwidth than I already am with my current host.

If that works I will be surprised. They may give you a gig space but what about bandwidth usage for the gig?

Funny thing is, I currently have 600mb with my host and when I said I needed more but bandwidth wouldn't be huge he stated that the bandwidth wasn't the issue, it was the space that cost money.

I would have thought it was the other way around?
