Anyone currently playing, or that has played it in the past?

Just after a few opinions and/or tips before commiting to a sign-up.

It looks fantastic, and I had a quick, 2 hour dabble about 12 months ago. Anyone had a more in-depth experience?

I played it for a few months then cancelled my subscription. It would seem that mining is "fun" at the start, but gets repetative and boring very quickly, and fighting is too "samey", with every battle either being won or lost just like the last with the same ships.

Got a few friends that have stuck with it for a few years though, they said it gets good if you end up in a massive corporation that is well organised. Hundreds of ships going deep into space on mining trips with fighter escorts.

I've thought a few times over the last month about firing the account back up and seeing what it was like again

Cheers. I'm giving it a go for a month or two, though I don't know where the hell I'm gonna find the time.

I guess I'm just hankering after a modern day 'Elite', memories of spending days sat in front of the old 'dead flesh' Speccy keyboard

 

It's a mining game which gets tedious after a while....played for about 2 Months and then realised it was taking over my life.....

 

Still playing stong after a year , like has been said if you get in with a good group of people then its good fun.
