Default CRM Software

Hi,

need some advice on customer relationship management software such as ACT!, Siebel and Goldmine - any feedback or reviews would be good etc. If anybody knows of software that's better than those mentioned let me know.

Thanks

What particular busness application do you want to use it for?

The web-based jobs from salesforce.com, supportforce.com and (possibly the best) rightnow.com are worth looking at.

Is it for an individual, business or enterprise application?

ACT! is free for the basic version, download it and have a tinker... don't have a link but will be easy enough to find via Google.

We use a program called 'SalesLogix' at work, an Amercian package supported by a UK company called 'Pythagoras'.

Don't know if thats any help as I don't have a great deal of experience using it...

How much are you looking to spend?

Siebel's at the top end of the market. Reckon on spending about £8 on PS for every £1 spent on licence cost and a team of administrators to run it if you can get the bloody thing working.

Onyx is one of the mid-market players and is optimised for companies who run Microsoft back office.

Lower end but no less effective is (as previously mentioned) salesforce.com - a neat web-based subscription model.

Cheers

We are currently looking at Saleslogix. The main benefit of tis from our POV is that it integrates with Sage (Sage own it). I've had a demo of it and it seems pretty flexible. We are looking at about £10k for a fairly basic installation.

Hi,

TBH looking for something very cheap ! Not too sure what the top-end software provides in comparison to stuff like Sage's ACT range etc but just want one central resource for our customers, suppliers and every other business activity.

Thanks for all the help so far, will keep looking

Jai

Nice one Jai, yes it looks pretty good, almost as good as the £3K CRM we bought from AccPac!

Cheers

We use and deploy Siebel worldwide. Agree with the massive PS costs associated with rolling out a Siebel solution, but it does a good job of running our business, not particularly easy to use though.
