Default CRM Software

Hi,

need some advice on customer relationship management software such as ACT!, Siebel and Goldmine - any feedback or reviews would be good etc. If anybody knows of software that's better than those mentioned let me know.

Thanks

isn,

We use something called AccPac CRM which has now been bought out by Sage software. It is a very capable product and it is web based so deployment is easy and it also comes with outlook integration too. Does all the normal stuff as well as sales stuff like pipelines, opportunities and also can do service based fault reporting for support teams. Do a search because you can run a free 30 day trial which lets you get a good feel for the software. We did that and decided to buy it and they dumped the DB from the demo so we could use it with our purchased copy. Its about £700 a seat plus £700 ish for the server or you can pay x amount per month for the hosted version.

You might also want to check out SugarCRM another web based product which is actually open source. Act sucks IMHO, ok for mail merges and the like but for basic contact management I dont like it but thats just me. Siebel I havent seen in action, I understand its not cheap though, there is another web based product called salesforce.com which is very popular and again you pay per seat per month.

Its like anything you need to try em all! I have spent months and months going through CRM selection, accpac suits us although I believe they alll miss the basics!

cheers

Gary
