As some of you RPG'ers might know World of Warcraft was released as a beta CD a while back which came with a CD key on it for the beta game.

I am trying to get a hold of an unused or no longer used CD Key and will buy the Beta CD off you..

So if anyone out there has got hold of the CD and no longer is playing it or wants it could you drop me an email please

have you played this game?

how good is it?

I used to play everquest, big style, is this very similar? very tempted to get this as at the moment the only game i am running is cs source, so could use an alternate.

any info on the game would be good, especially if you previously played eq also.

 

have you tried pre-ordering from game as that where mine came from.

Game have ran out of Beta CD's now and no other store have them .. HMV, Virgin etc..

I was going to pre order from them but they now say on their site that they have no more Beta CD's or Keys..

I haven't played it yet but my friends who are also into these sort of games, say its just wicked and beats everquest hands down..

As to the game...............put it this way i've spent far to many hours playing it since the Final Beta started.

its got me totally hooked.

got a few hours planned tonite as the wifes out

 

good good, whens the official uk release? sometime in the first quarter?

 

nothing official yet announced but the expectation has always been february.

check on places like gameplay / play etc and you'll see dates in feb....4th / 11th / 18th etc etc

given Open Beta imminent i would reckon later in Feb more likely than early ?

 

does the game run similar to eq? loads of servers on different time zones? guilds, quests, massive mobs etc?

used to be really hooked on eq, looking forward to something new.

 

never played eq but lots of servers / players / quests / npc etc

i always fancied it, but dont agree with the pricing policy has that changed too??

EQ is still running, so is eq2, played eq for about 3 years, got very involved, cracking rpg.

 

just pre-ordered mine from game, looking forward to it now.

 

thats how it was when i was playing the USA beta. loads of servers and each one designed to be played by people in a certain time zone. In the Euro release they are going to be based on language though, you can still play on a german/french/spanish server if you want but some of the language functions are local only so youd be a bit restricted if you can speak the language of the server.

guilds? yes
quests? loads and loads and loads and loads, this is all you will do for the first 20 levels, best way to level up too
massive mobs? yes and small ones too

Superb game and looks superb too in that unique warcraft style
