MSProject 2003 - reinstall errors HELP

MSProject 2003 - reinstall errors HELP
Morning all
On installing Project standard 2003 on a fresh XP machine there was an error requiring a re-install (poss as anti-virus
u was running)
On re-install I am told the s/w cannot be installed as there is another instance of Project 2003 present that needs to be removed.
Its does not show in add/remove programs, I have removed all registry entries with msproject and searched the c:/.
Any help to allow me to install the software would really be appreciated
