Default How do I get the DFP Wheel to Work on PS2?

Just got a Logitech DFP wheel for my PS2 and I can't get it to work. I turn the PS2 off insert the USB cable and turn the PS2 on. Only once has the DFP gone through it's start up procedure. I can't get it to work at all now. Has anyone had any problems getting their's to startup?

Try plugging it in a different USB port.

I had the same problem when I bought mine.It worked on some of the screens in GT4 but not others plus you couldn't scroll through the menus to start races etc...
Connected it to the other usb port and it's worked fine ever since!! (Can't drive with it mind but that's another story!! )

It must be a problem with my PS2. It just won't fire the DFP up. I have to connect it to my laptop USB port to fire it up and then plug it into my PS2

What age is your ps2 ?

I'm just in the process of ordering a DFP and my PS2 is a launch day console..... could it be a problem with the older versions ?

Mine is a very early one as well, I wonder if there are any firmware upgrades such as there was for the DVD player. I have not found anything on the 'net regarding this specific problem.

I shall be getting in touch with Logitech next week to see if they can shed any light on the problem.

Been using the keypad to play GT4 and I must admit it is far easier than using the DFP.
