Default Bulldog phone and broadband.

Hello,

My BB contract is up at the end of the month, Bulldog seem to have the most crazy deal going £19 for 4mb line with 400kb up stream and a phone line for a tenner.

All seems a bit too goog to be true, seems everyone else trying to palm off 2mb lines with caps for more money.

Anyway used them?

Saw this last week also. Reading the small print it appears you have to use a C&W telephone line (same price as BT's line rental), but you lose access to all those special One-Tel style cheap calls offers.

That's not really a problem for me, I don't use those services anyway...

Have a look on here, http://www.adslguide.org/isps/compare.asp You can select a few ISP's and see how they are rated. There's a forum on their too so you can find out what people think...

A mate has spent 2 weeks without a home phone line since he switched to bulldog.

Glad to hear you've had no problems..

Interesting about the distance to exchange....

I did the initial test on their website and it said it was possible in my area. But, the alternative that I am looking at, at the moment is Freedom2Surf, who are my current provider, they've been great, but it's £26 for a 2mb line, with a 50gig cap, and worse it's still only 256k upstream, and I upload alot, so double upstream bandwidth is appealing.

Bulldog offer 2mb for £30 with no cap, which would be available to you, upstream still 256k thou I'm using this atm, and although I joined in the middle of some network issues, the service has been great ever since.
