Just about to buy a new laptop and cant decide which proceesor to go for, there is £100 price difference just for the processor

How much difference do you think it will make ?

The 2 chips are INTEL PENTIUM M PROCESSOR 730 1.60 or
INTEL CELERON M PROCESSOR 360 1.40

Celeron's are slower IIRC as they don't have a much cache (high speed memory) which is where a lot of the cost is.

In addition to a slower clock speed between those two and the cache difference Messiah points out (2Mb vs 1Mb) :

The power management on the Celeron M isn't as good as the Pentium M
The Pentium M has a 533Mhz Front Side Bus vs 400Mhz for the Celeron M

If the £100 isn't a big issue to you, I'd take the Pentium M.
