I had a problem with my Pc which meant the best way to resolve the problem was to re-install a fresh copie of Windows XP Pro and since then my Pioneer 108 has got between 2% and 7% before freezing the whole computer up does anyone have any ideas as to why this may be happening as it was burning fine before i re-installed everything i am using Nero for my burning as beofre also ??

you haven't made the 108 a master on one of the IDE channels by any chance ???
or swapped the jumper from cable select to master/slave ??
It may have forced DMA off/on
just a thought
