if I use it with the top half of the case off will it still over heat? If it does get to hot what will it do, fry the board etc?

Basically was taking it apart as the chip was loose and where you disconnect the fan wire from the board the little white plug came completely off the board I don't have a soldering iron and I wouldn't know how to do it anyway as its so small.


WTF do I do to get it back up and running again?

cheers mate thats what I needed to hear, thought it was fooked I've been looking at soldering irons but i'm never going to be steady enough to solder onto such a tiny area

So its safe to play and when it reaches a certain temp it automatically turns itself off?
