Default Is it legal to sell a copy of Windows you own?

I'm thinking of selling an old PC of mine. Is it legal to sell the copy of Windows 2000 which I originally bought to use with it? It's retail (not OEM) software and un-pirated, naturally.

More accurately, yes if you've removed it from your own computer. It is against the EULA to have it installed on more than one computer unless only one of the computers it is installed on can be used at any time (for instance, a desktop and lappy which only you have access to). If it's against the EULA then you break copyright law.

EULA != Copyright and EULA *probably* isn't enforcable within the EU anyway But yes, obviously destroy any backups you have made and make sure it is only on the one machine (assuming standard home license). But you said un-pirated so you'll probably a law abiding chap

Yeah, I know... but I'm the conscientious sort!
