Sounds like a nero related problem then doesnt it ?

Have you got over 1 gig of free space on the hard drive ?
Have you tried burning the disc at a non max speed ?
Can you change the cache size to a larger value in the options ?

Try that lot , and let me kno ..

File --> Preferences

Cache. Check your drive speed is ok
Defragment your drive if you get a low rating

UltraBuffer.
Should be on auto.
If it is , change it Manual. Set it to 80mb

Try that.

Do other programs such as alcohol 120% work ?

What release of Nero <spit> are you using?

Several of our customers have reported similar problems with Nero Reloaded:

- locking up system
- creating silent gaps between DVD chapters!
- recognising blank discs as full

Try a free trial of Record Now from www.sonic.com

Hmm.

I dare say it is not your burner.

Is the DVD writer on a different channel to the hard disc ?
I cant understand why this isnt working.

Try in Alcohol 120% ripping the image to the hard drive. Reboot your machine , and then mount the image using the virtual device.
Test that works ok

Then if thats ok , try burning the image.
Repeat.

If it fails , i suspect windows / other driver is killing something.
