Cool Forza vs GT4 .. a professional comparison..

had gt4 for a while now..
Been loving it.

Played Forza last night at SpecialX's place...

first things first- GameSter steering wheel with integral seat..
DO IT NOW..
get to Argoose, buy it, love it, play it and love it some more..
: compared to that POS logitech driving force pro wheel for gt4..
wipes the floor with it imo.

Forza- handling seems pretty good (WAaaay better than the recent demo thank god). It's certanly different to GT no doubt.
I always felt like I didnt know what the back end was doing in forza..
In GT there is some bizarre '**** telemetry' going on.. not sure how but it works well.
Forza's graphics are good. Nice solid engine no nasty glitching.
On even terms with GT I think.
GT might have the edge 'in car', (not sure of the camera positions in Forza either. They all seem 'wrong'.
The time trial courses are a HOOT..

Amazingly- I did manage to find a bug on the track (maple valley) within 5 minutes of playing it and got myself grounded in an Enzo.
bugs never die..

Plus the fact you CAN have Porsche and ferrari is great..
the Enzo is an animal..

All in all, I would probably buy an XBOX for forza.
And I work with the fecking things all day and have not bought one yet..
Only lack of available playing time is stopping me

Wouldnt say it's better all round than GT4.. it's as good in different ways.
Obviously the online stuff for Forza is a massive hook..

Now to have them both- GT AND Forza, and have the needed time to play them thoroughly would be bliss

I agree, they're both great games in their own right.
Having only played both with joypads, I still prefer the Xbox trigger controls (I have set GT4 to use the shoulder buttons too). The weight of the cars in Forza seem to suit the heavyhandedness of using a hand controller.

thats the one.

Logitech DFP- now THAT'S a POS.

The gamster one seemed to work really well.. you just have to be gentle with the pedals and not try to brake like in real life Like I did

Interesting chrome, what didnt you like about the DFP?

I need to buy a wheel, but I once bought that Logitech GT Force thing and returned it after 1 week as I hated it. It was too difficult to use, so i've been hesitant to spend £90 on the DFP since hating that so much.

On PS1 I had a Logic 3 Top Drive and loved it. Not over realistic, but easy to use.

Would you recommend buying the Race pack then?
