I've lost the sound on my laptop....what should i look at?

Only just realised there's no sound.Media player not on mute,what else should i investigate?

Also has your BIOS reset itself? (the press a button for set-up when you power on) Check to make sure the sound card is enabled.

You may have also hit the Fn (Function button) as opposed to the shift key and the corresponding key for the system mute on the keyboard. Find this function button and the mute button should be one of the Fkeys. Is on mine anyways.
