I just had the pleasure of re-insatlling my PC after hardware failure. I used to use one of those codec packs, but it caused far too much hassle.
Atm, I have installed VLC media player, ACD photo software and the Divx6 bundle.
Now I was not aware that any of those had an AC3 filter, but VLC can play back my AC3 movies properly! However DivX Player cannot![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
So I'm looking for the best standalone AC3 filter, any suggestions?

I've always used the codec packs from www.doom9.org and never had a problem.
They start individual installers from each included codec - so just be picky about those you install. Doom9 should have a direct link to an AC3 filter aswell. ...in fact its
