Question Selling a Ps2 hard drive..safe?

Hi,

Im flat broke so I going to sell my Ps2 Hard drive (80gig) with network adaptor, Hd loader disk, and loaded with games such GTA:san, Red friction(?) etc about 11 games.

Any hows I was wondering what would be the best way to sell it? This thread

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthrea...hlight=chipped

is making me a bit nervous of putting it on eBay. Am I best off sticking an advert on this forum, or the for sale forums plus other clubs, or will ebay be a safe bet? Dont fancy getting into trouble over this.

Also what would be a good price to sell it for? Im thinking around the £85 mark, or is that way too much?

Help would be most greatful as I dont know where I stand of the legal side?

Thanks

Kam

legally, they can lock you up and throw away the key!!! Get the games off the HD, then you'll be safe. Personally, I wouldn't advertise the fact you've got pirated games on your HD - there was a recent news article where an XBox owner was prosecuted for pretty much doing what you were doing (albeit on a larger scale)

For reference, you would do well to check out how much say, Novatech are selling 80 Gig HDs for. I think you'll be in for an unpleasant suprise Bearing in mind that the PS2 additional software is readily available on the net.

If I were you, I'd keep it and look elsewhere to make money

put a disclaimer on it, saying its a backup of your own licensed games and if the buyer doesn't have the orginal game license, then he should delete them...

that will get you out of SHTOOK!!!

Dazza sounds interesting. Dan I think I will use that as a back up plan.
Also I may give eBay a miss as they will probs give me a warning or something similar.
cheers for the help

I know that Scoobynet don't allow you to advertise things like this due to piracy and I guess that other boards may take the same view.

Ebay is so huge that I'd be suprised if you ever heard anything back about it but personally I wouldn't try it.
