Default pdf

Can anyone recommend software (preferably legitimately free) that will convert a word document into a .pdf?

You just need a PDF virtual print driver, do a search on the web plenty of em about, most you have to pay for although there are a couple of free ones (not sure which- thats why I cant help you further!)

Alternatively if you can get hold of a copy of full blown adobe acrobat that comes with something called distiller which will do what you want.

PrimoPDF is free, easy to use and doesn't nag you to buy a "pro" version. It works as Gary says; basically it installs a virtual PDF printer which you choose in your application as normal. Then when you press print, up pops a dialog box asking you where you want to save the document.

I used to use PDF995, it's horrible. It displays adverts before generating the PDF unless you buy a license key which I didn't want to do just to generate a simple PDF, something I could do on my Mac for free as standard.
