You just need a PDF virtual print driver, do a search on the web plenty of em about, most you have to pay for although there are a couple of free ones (not sure which- thats why I cant help you further!)
Alternatively if you can get hold of a copy of full blown adobe acrobat that comes with something called distiller which will do what you want.

PrimoPDF is free, easy to use and doesn't nag you to buy a "pro" version. It works as Gary says; basically it installs a virtual PDF printer which you choose in your application as normal. Then when you press print, up pops a dialog box asking you where you want to save the document.
