Default Corrupt data, can it be saved?

Just been out on a (digital) photo shoot, took 85 images, at least 15 of which I really wanted to use, that cannot be recreated. I tried to import using iphoto on my mac mini but it got stuck on 84, crashed, I force quit and restarted the machine.

When I tried again I used finder and tried to copy data (like in explored just dragging folder to desktop. It tranfered in two seconds. But only 1 photo had data, the rest were empty / corrupt files. I taken the card and looked at it on PC and it also shows all the files / file names, but says it's only 5meg on disc.

Is there any software to see if I can retrieve the data, or is it lost?

Please bare in mind I may slight my wrists if the answer is yes!

Cheers,

nick

Default

This is odd, a photographer friend of mine has a similar problem, if he drags the files off his 1gb CF card with his card reader or my card reader then it corrupts the images.
I took a load of pics with my little IXUS, tried to import all the pics using the cable in the camera and iPhoto, many of them were corrupt, some were half imposed onto others.... If I used my cheapo card reader from Dabs all the pics came off fine.

Sorry there is no answer here but its odd...

Have you been able to try the card reader or the camera in an OS9 machine?
