Recommend me a Wireless Broadband router/modem
About to move to a house which can receive broadband - what I'd like is a single box that can act as the broadband modem as well as being a wireless router to feed 4 or 5 PC's and laptops. Appreciate any suggestions and preferably model no's to make sure I buy the right piece of kit.
So far from looking I think what I'm after is this sort of thing....
Linksys WRT54GS-UK (ebuyer best seller)
USRobotics Sureconnect ADSL Wireless Gateway Modem+AP+4Port+Firewall Switch019106 (Scan todayonly special offer)
Thanks

Hey,
I've got me a Netgear DG834GT Wireless ADSL Router/Modem. Has 4 wired ports and the rest is wireless. Router is downstairs, computer is upstairs connected wirelessly and can't say I've had a problem with connectivity.

if you can aford a draytek go for it - I have a netgear which Im still waiting for a replacment after it fell over 3 weeks ago - its only 6 months old
I was recommended draytek on here and have never looked back for any of the companies that I have set up
Cisco are far to good, but you also pay allot of money

Kevin,
That LinkSys doesn't have an ADSL modem built in - it's designed for cable connections where you get a cable modem from the provider. You could get an ADSL modem for it's an extra box to plug and to configure.
LinkSys do an all-in-one box called the WAG54G but don't waste your money on it. I've tried four or five of them now and they are all utter tosh. Actually, I've just looked at the LinkSys UK website and they now list a WAG354G and WAG54GS. Both claim to be all-in-one. Are they any better than the WAG54G? No idea, but I doubt they could be any worse!
What's your budget?

I've been using a Dlink G604T for 1 year now.
Two PCs & printer hard wired into it. Wireless switched on only when using a laptop and PC downstairs (15m through floor and 3 walls - signal strength still 70%).
Has B/band modem built in.
Easy to set up
Really can't fault it.

Budget will be what it needs to be for it to be reliable and simple to setup - had thought i'd get away with £60 but happy to spend extra to get summit that works
