Can you upgrade USB ports?
My Laptop only has USB 1.1 ports at the moment - is there a physical difference between them and USB 2.0 ports?
Just wondering if I can get a firmware upgrade as my USB pen is 2.0 and I've just got an iPod which needs 2.0 also (doh!) although I may go the firewire route with that one.
Everytime I plug the pen in I get a "This device can perform faster" dialogue box - can I upgrade my laptop?

There is a physical difference, so no a firmware upgrade will not help I'm afraid.
You may be able to upgrade the laptop, but you'd probably have to send it back to the manufacturer and get them to solder on some new components. Probably be easier / cheaper to get a new laptop!!!
