wireless networking question
sorry but i'm a bit dim when it comes to this lol
went to comet yesterday and was looking at linksys stuff,i have two pc's one is connected to bt broadband the other is not. i know you can connect the two to one broadband line but can you send data etc from one pc to another with this type of equipment

something like that will allow you to share an internet connection and create a wired and wireless network plus its got an inbuilt firewall.

If you want to share both an internet connection and share files locally on a network, you will need to buy a wireless router and a wireless network adapter for the other PC. You can connect your main PC to the router with a wire, and use wireless for the other PC.

I currently have my 3 PCs connected via a Dlink Wireless/ADSL/Router and Dlink Wireless cards. It's quite easy to set-up. Just make sure you have your BT Broadband Starter pack to hand to get the Broadband settings to get connected. And leave the wireless network cards in DHCP mode so that the router assigns the necessary IP addresses.
