Default Free registry cleaner - anyone know one?

Looking for a registry cleaner, many about but all cost £££ (or should I say $$$$ as most are u.s. ones).

Anyone know any free ones or one that I can get hold of for free if you get my meaning

I use jv16 power tools too, very handy utility. I think you can download a trial version which would be ok if you just need to do a quick reg. sweep.

What do you think the problem is? Are you looking for root kit issues? If so, have a look at Rootkit Revealer. Hijackthis is fine - as long as you know what you are doing and what you are looking at - if you're not sure, there are good support forums here where you can post up Hijackthis registry log files.

I just tried that ccleaner. Seems to be really good. It found a stack of stuff that the cleaners suggested above did not find, and its free

Plus it cleaned out a load of temp files

Nice find
