After ive been online for a few hours i get this pop up. Internet Explorer then closes down, although MSN Messenger keeps running. Im guessing theres a problem with IE?
My pc has no virus' and has all the latest updates. Ive formatted in the passed but i still get this problem. Im assuming theres a patch im missing somewhere?

Hello
I'll say something that just irritates my wife: It happens sometimes. Scoobynet has some javascript that seems to confuse IE. If I just open another browser everything is fine, and I'm guessing it's the same for you?

My initial suspicion is that you have spyware on your machine. IE is reasonably stable these days, although I have switched to firefox some time ago so cannt really comment on IE's most recent performance.
I'd strongly recommend you scan your machine with both Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy. Both of these are free and are pretty good at finding and removing spyware.
If all of that comes up clean, then I would look into making sure that you have the most up to date version of Java installed on your machine
Next on the list is to ensure that you do minimise the number of other applications that are running at the same time. It could be an antivirus/firewall issue depending on what you are using.
If all of that fails then I would head over to TechRepublic and post as much info as possible. I've never not had a problem sorted by the people over there, but you will have to be specific.

It will seem a little slower just to start with as the cache fills with useful info.
Firefox is known to be quicker than IE. You can also make it quicker with something called Firetune. Its a free little program that tweaks the settings, just make sure that you follow the instructions to backup before you use it.
